The five major environmental problems are:

  4. Air Pollution: Air pollution refers to the presence of harmful substances, including particulate matter and gases, in the air. The sources of air pollution include transportation, industrial processes, and energy production. Air pollution leads to respiratory diseases, climate change, and other health and environmental problems.

  5. Biodiversity Loss: Biodiversity loss refers to the decline of the variety and number of species on Earth. This loss is mainly due to habitat destruction, climate change, pollution, and overexploitation of natural resources. Biodiversity loss has negative consequences for ecosystems, human health, and the economy.
